La Agronomía es el conjunto de conocimientos de diversas ciencias que rigen la práctica en la agricultura.Proviene del latín "ager" que significa "campo" y "nomos" que significa "Podemos definir a la Agronomía como "la Ciencia que, con el auxilio de un importante grupo de disciplinas científicas estudia los factores físicos, químicos, biológicos, económicos y sociales que influyen y/o afectan al proceso productivo que denominamos genéricamente Agricultura".
